Our aim is to produce interesting educational blogs with a London angle, as well as provide practical guides and resources for day-to-day EM ‘shop-floor’ work. We will also have an interesting collection of cases covering the breadth of Emergency Medicine to stimulate our users as well as provide guidance on how trainees can progress with their postgraduate exams, with the help of trainees who have already jumped that hurdle. We are also keen to display our vast EM Ultrasound library of images and cases. In the near future, we plan to develop a library of useful videos and podcasts for users to consume at leisure. The latter will involve invaluable contributions from our keen London medical students and budding EM trainees, who are keen for a platform too.
As anyone who is familiar with the concept of FOAM knows, none of these will be possible without an army of contributors and collaborators, all of whom we thank in advance and are forever indebted to, and will have to adhere to the GMC guidelines on social media and online publications. That said, while we will strive to ensure accuracy and make sure our contents are up-to-date and relevant, it is important that users understand we do not accept any liability and that they consume the materials on the site as one part of a wide library of resource from which they draw their medical opinion and skills.
Welcome to LondonEM!
